Desk transformation

I found this desk at a thrift store and really liked the handles and overall set up of it. The color was a bit bright for me:) so I sanded it down, painted the drawers white and the desk is a dark gray/blue which is a little hard to tell in the picture. Before and after are below.

Shelf creation

I got the idea for this project from another website and really liked not only the final product but the process as well. It's a combination of (starting from the bottom) a cabinet, a table and a book shelf cut and twisted into many different positions.

Tube bag

I was very happy with the outcome of this one. It's a diaper bag made out of spare bike tubes. As my roommates and I ride very often, we also get the occasional flat tire and had some tubes hanging around. I wanted to do something with them and found some bags online and was thus motivated to make my own. I cleaned the tubes, split them and sewed them (by hand might I add) together. I then added the liner and handle, along with some pockets and the flower for the final touch. It's very durable, as tubes are, making it great for a baby bag; it can take spills and all other sorts of accidents. Here's the final project:

This one you can really see the texture of the tubes.
